Low Ropes: Find solutions as a team to fun and challenging low ropes course elements. Low ropes promote team building, communication skills, and critical thinking.

Hike Afternoon: Take a nice around one of Appleton's several nature preserves with your best camp friends. Practice some mindfulness on the way and appreciate the nature around you!

Farmer's Market & Appleton Exploration: Teens explore the very popular downtown Appleton farmer's market and learn about local foods and vendors in the area. After the market, they have a choice between several museum's in Appleton to check out.

Sheboygan Day Trip: In the afternoon, campers split up into small groups to independently explore downtown Sheboygan, a great location for shopping, grabbing a snack a local cafe, or checking out their historic art museum!

Community Service Choice: Campers will choose a community service option based on their interests. They will commit to this option on four different occasions during camp, providing meaningful service to their organization and gaining valuable job experience. They will develop relationships with members of the organization and get to know their fellow Beyond Akeela volunteers quite well. Community service opportunities in the past have included: Lawrence University Dining Hall, Appleton Public Library, High Cliff State Park, YMCA Day Camp, and St. Joseph's Food Bank.

Health & Wellness: Campers will receive an orientation to the Lawrence University exercise facility, along with a brief discussion of healthy exercise habits. Teens have access to the whole gym, including pool, and can choose an exercise option that interests them during dedicated health and wellness activity periods. Daily supervised access to the gym is available to all campers!
Adventure & Travel

Adventure Trip Prep: Campers work together to pack up the vans for the three day excursion. They also finalize meal plans and activity options for the trip.

Madison Day Trip Part 1: Visit and explore two different college environments in Madison: The University of Wisconsin and Mansfield Hall.
