Big Trip Prep & Scavenger Hunt: Campers start planning meals and activities for the Big Trip to the Wisconsin Dells and Chicago. Then they get some valuable practice navigating a new city with a scavenger hunt through Appleton!

Adventure Trip Prep: Campers work together to pack up the vans for the three day excursion. They also finalize meal plans and activity options for the trip.

Hike Day! Take a nice walk up Mosquito Hill Nature Trail (don't worry, it's not full of mosquitoes) with your best camp friends. Practice some mindfulness on the way up and appreciate the nature around you!

Low Ropes: Find solutions as a team to fun and challenging low ropes course elements. Low ropes promote team building, communication skills, and critical thinking.

High Ropes: High ropes course elements challenge campers to step out of their comfort zones, and promote teamwork, confidence building, and a sense of accomplishment. It's also pretty fun to fly through the sky on a zip line!
Programs & Activities

Nutrition Chat & Menu Planning: Lead by advisors, the group has an engaging conversation about nutrition and healthy eating habits. Groups plan out meals for the week and go on a big grocery run to get their meal's essentials!

Madison Day Trip Part 1: Visit and explore two different college environments in Madison: The University of Wisconsin and Mansfield Hall.

Community Service Choice. Campers will choose a community service option based on their interests. They will commit to this option on four different occasions during camp, providing meaningful service to their organization. They will very develop relationships with members of the organization and get to know their fellow Beyond Akeela volunteers quite well. Community service opportunities include: SLUG Garden @ Lawrence, Mosquito Hill Trail Maintenance, Habitat for Humanity, Food Bank, Nursing Home, Animal Rescue
